Choir to Sing Beethoven with SB Symphony

The Westmont Choir sings Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Santa Barbara Symphony Saturday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 17, at 3 p.m. at the Granada Theatre. Tickets can be purchased at the Granada box office.

The performances include the Santa Barbara Choral Society and Quire of Voyces along with soloists, Susanna Phillips, soprano, Elise Quagliata, mezzo soprano, Bryan Grifin, tenor, and Jason Grant, baritone, conducted by Nir Kabaretti. Michael Shasberger, Adams professor of music and worship, directs the Westmont Choir.

The program includes Beethoven’s highly dramatic Consecration of the House Overture.
