November Showcases Student Musicians

Westmont student composers, vocalists and instrumentalists showcase their talents in several concerts this November. All performances are free and open to the public.
The new works of student composers highlight at The Composers Concert on Friday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. in Deane Chapel. There will be an eclectic mix of string, vocal and piano pieces performed by the composers and fellow students.
The Wind Ensemble Concert is Sunday, Nov. 14, at 3 p.m. in Deane Chapel under the direction of Paul Mori, adjunct professor of music
The String Chamber Ensemble Concert is Friday, Nov. 19, at 6:30 p.m. in Deane Chapel.
The Vocal Chamber Concert, under the direction of associate professor of music Grey Brothers, is Sunday Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. in Deane Chapel. The Men’s Chorale will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner,” by John Stafford Smith and arranged by Brothers, “Shenandoah,” “What Wondrous Love Is This” and “The Morning Trumpet.” The Chamber Singers will perform songs by Orlando di Lasso, John Farmer, William Byrd and Christopher Tye.
