Students in Westmont’s Music Drama Workshop Class perform 18 different songs from eight operas in Opera Scene’s “Nameless Show” Sunday, Oct. 30, at 3 p.m. in Westmont’s Deane Chapel. The performance is free and open to the public.
“Nameless Show” is an original work, written by the music drama class. Adjunct professor Celeste Tavera, a 1987 Metropolitan Opera National Council winner, directs and stars in the performance, which features nine current Westmont students. Adjunct professor Paula Hatley plays the piano during the operas that include scenes from “Cinderella,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Hänsel und Gretel,” “Roméo et Juliette,” “Dido and Aeneas” and “Lucia di Lammermoor.”
