Tran to Ponder 'Bombs or Bread'

Jonathan Tran of Baylor University will lecture about “Bombs or Bread? American Exceptionalism and the Church’s Mission to the Nations” on Thursday, March 8, at 3:30 p.m. in Winter Hall’s Darling Foundation Lecture Hall (Room 210) at Westmont.
Jonathan Tran received a doctorate from Duke University and currently teaches theological ethics in the Baylor University Department of Religion. He is author of “The Vietnam War and Theologies of Memory: Time and Eternity in the Far Country” forthcoming in the Blackwell series, “Challenges in Contemporary Theology” and “Theology and Foucault” forthcoming in the T & T Clark International series, “Philosophy and Theology.” Originally from Southern California, he and his family live in Woodway, Texas, and have been at Baylor for three years.
