Warriors Sports Media Guides Win Contest

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Sports Information Directors of America (SIDA) honored Ron Smith, Westmont sports information officer, and his staff for two of this year’s Westmont media guides. The publication contest winners were announced at the 2009 NAIA-SIDA convention June 20. The Westmont men’s and women’s soccer media guide won first place in the multi-sport brochure contest, the fourth year in a row that a Westmont media guide has taken top honors. The baseball guide took third place in the Walt McAlexander baseball brochure contest. Sophomore Brooke O’Leary from San Luis Obispo assisted Smith with the soccer and baseball guides. Junior Jenna Polenske of Lodi assisted with the baseball guide.
