Westmonster Run Returns to Campus

Get out your running shoes and tackle the 2011 Westmonster 5K Thursday evening, Aug. 18. This cross-country race, part of the Santa Barbara Athletic Association’s Grand Prix Series, begins at 6:15 p.m. and follows a scenic course on the Westmont campus, finishing on the new track. Participants will enjoy food and drink at the end of the run. Children 10 and under may participate in a free 1K Fun Run after the 5K.

The registration fee is $30 ($15 for high school and college students; children 11-14 pay $10). Proceeds benefit athletics at Westmont. Bryan Cox ’12, a history major and member of the Westmont varsity tennis team, is directing the event.
