Westmont Pro-Life Club Presents Debate
By
Westmont
Westmont’s Right to Life Club presents a discussion about the abortion issue, “Abortion — Right or Wrong,” featuring two of the nation’s top experts on the topic, Friday, April 15, at 6 p.m. in Westmont’s Murchison Gym. General admission to the public event is $5; students are free.
The debate features Scott Klusendorf and Nadine Strossen. Klusendorf, president of the Life Training Institute, will argue for the right to life. He travels throughout the United States and Canada training abortion opponents to defend their views in the public square. He is the author of “Pro-Life 101: a Step by Step Guide to Making Your Case Persuasively.” He is a frequent guest on nationally syndicated programs and has participated in numerous debates and lectured at more than 70 colleges.
Strossen will argue for a woman’s right to choose. She has written, lectured and practiced in the areas of constitutional law, civil liberties and international human rights. She is the first woman to head the nation’s largest and oldest civil liberties organization, serving as president of the ACLU from 1991 through 2008.
